To set up an ioDrive to work with Iometer, follow the steps below.
1.Ensure that you have the latest driver and latest firmware for the target ioDrive.
2.For best results, make sure you are using a capable quad-core or higher CPU.
3.Load Iometer and add at least eight threads and 64 outstanding I/O’s per target, as shown below.

4.Select the drive to test for each thread.

5.Click the Access Specifications tab and select the test you want to run.

6.Modify the test configuration according to the test criteria.
In this case, the configuration is set measure 1MB sequential throughput.

7.Select the Access Specification for each worker thread.

8.Adjust the slider bar to set the Update Frequency to one second.

9.Click the Save button and save the test configuration file.

10.Run the configured test to fill the drive with data and get results.
